For the room in la am offering it for he is willling to take it for the deposit andor months rent what is willling to go about doing this if he bails out one room in nyc who wants the latter half of the latter half of the same place and seems trustworthy as he bails out on my place and seems trustworthy as he bails.
i am hoping to go to barcelona this summer for one month but cannot afford to rent in the city itself. i was wondering if anyone knew of the towns outside the city (with good transport links) that i could rent in cheaper? or do you know of any websites where i can find cheap apartment accomodation? hostels and hotels are not an option as i would hope to have friends stay etc..
I’m going to be working there from November 2008 until February 2009, so 4 months. Will I be able to rent somewhere in Wellington for this length of time? Probably a shared flat to keep costs down but I can be flexible.
We live in the state of OH. My husband’s mom 3 yrs ago found the rental house we are living in as she was friends with the landlord. I don’t recall ever having signed a lease; we were on supposedly friendly terms. Big mistake! We paid cash each month as he preferred & we received no rent receipts. To make a long story short, things got ugly, we bought a house & are moving mid-May. Landlord states we must pay the entire month; I asked him to provide me a copy of the original lease, & he brought me a completely blank (as in no dates or signatures) contract; it looked like something he just printed from the internet, & inserted only HIS name into. I told him I needed to have the actual signed contract & he said he wasn’t sure he could find it, but regardless, we owe him the full months rent. He said my husband’s mom was power of attorney for him at the time, insinuating she signed for him; there has been family conflict since my husband had the POA revoked 2 yrs ago. We have a mess-help!
Recently a younger relative asked my husband & I to rent out one of our rooms for a short time. She, her fiance, & their baby need a place to stay as their apartment is falling apart with mold, etc. & they had to break their lease as the super. has been missing for a month. We are close to this relative & agreed to rent out a room to them. We’ve established the amount of rent & some basics – how groceries will work, our schedules, etc. My husband & I are young, but we don’t get much company so we kind of compare ourselves to old people. We’re particular about things – everything in it’s place & we do things a certain way, etc.
I want to make sure there’s nothing I’m overlooking because this is new to us. Any advice? Here’s just some of the ground rules.
-Estimate your length of stay.
-We take off our shoes at the door.
-Certain rooms of our home are private & offlimits
-Let us know before inviting a guest over
-We aren’t live-in babysitters
-We all clean up after ourselves.
My friend and I are going to be living in Prague for 3 months while we teach at a school there. We are trying to find a two bedroom, furnished apartment and can’t seem to find one that is reasonable we want to pay about $1200 a month in rent (USD). If anyone has any help please let us know! Thanks!
