to make a long story short my girlfriend now my ex ruined her engine and It was sitting at her house for 2 years so I decided that I was gonna fix it. she paid 6000 for it (chevy aveo 2004) and I said that I was gonna give her 2500(yeah alot for a broken car) but she would make me the car title owner for cheaper insurance and let me make payments to her so it was gonna be a win win but was never set in stone. OK before the break up we both made a contract just stating that I was gonna have the car fixing it and I was gonna start paying her after i fixed it. after the break up $800 and 3 months in the garage i told her it was gonna be done sooner than I expected she came with a 2nd contract another stating when she was gonna get paid. I looked at it and told her the flaws in it. she told me that it was ok so in my anger from the breakup still fresh i signed it. after really reviewing it she has alot of flaws like no total payment amount and i was looking for better terms like she will not come near the car without default on the payments.she now has prepaid legal and is not making me car ownerwhich I am ok with but she will not give me a revise contract for my better terms that she has not even heard. I just wanted to know what are my rights if she sends me to court? Im willing to pay i just want a revise contract which I have told her.

You don’t have many rights because you signed the contract, you should continue paying her for now. You should also make up a new contract with all of the correct information on it (also it should mention that it overwrites the old contract) and get her to sign it. Make sure that you either pay her your payments in check or get a receipt for each payment you give her so that she can’t later say that you didn’t pay her a payment.
