Are there any (really) short term housing options for 16 year olds?

I need to be closer to the job location, but I can’t think of any place to stay… It would be just for the summer or maybe a little longer, but are there even any options besides RV parks or staying with someone you know? I am only 16, so this is a hard one

thank you!

When my sister was 16 or 17, in the dark ages, she a several other people who worked in the live shows at Six Flags got apartments near the park, which was in a semi-suburban/almost-rural area. She and two other girls we knew who were sisters shared a place, but all the parents had to sign the lease together.

They were making almost twice minimum wage, and way more than other people who worked there. If you have to pay to live somewhere for this job, it’s probably not worth it monetarily, but may be worth the experience or something. I was an apprentice in a costume shop at that same time, and I made a big $20 a week, $13 of which went to rent, leaving me $7 for food and forget everything else. Even in 1973 this wasn’t realistic, but the diner and the bar let us run tabs and when Mom and Dad came to see the show, they usually paid them for us. But the experience of performing in shows with old movie and tv stars, and learning costuming from a major designer made it worth it to me, and fortunately to my parents too.
