What is a Short Term Lease?
I am putting the basement of my house for rent and just got a response asking if the apartment is available for “short term lease”. I am new to this so what exactly does it entail?
In the Ad i put that rent is 800 dollars a month and that was pretty much it.

they want to know if you will accept leases shorter than 1 year.
charge more for shorter term leases.

A short term lease is usually a 6 mo or less. They could also be looking for a month to month lease so they can leave at any time. This basically means that it will be empty again pretty soon.
These are not a good idea unless you are OK with a high turnover rate.
