Cost of renting a Short term apartment in Playa del Carmen/Mexico city for 6 months in each place?
My best friend is thinking of spending a Year in mexico improving her spanish and would like to spend 6 months on the beach and another 6 months in the city and we were wondering how much should one expect to pay for a furnished short term lease Studio or 1 Bedroom apartment in Playa del Carmen/Cancun and in Mexico city?
Any advice/Tips?

Your question is impossible to answer without more specific information. The cost of apartments in both of those places can vary widely depending on many things other than “Studio or 1 Bedroom”. Size, age, location, amenities etc.The best way to find an apartment is to go to each city and determine which neighborhood/colonia is best for you and look for signs, ask the local people etc..

it is easy to rent here. It will probably be like $200-250 a month in the city and in the beach like $250-300 you can rent at casas GEO or Infonavit its cheap and small but you would have to see if they had furinshed homes.
I know alot of people who dont have residency that rent, all you do is just work it out with the land lord, its very easy nothiing to do at immagration. try to talk him down the price a bit and just make an excuse like, its not painted in here or ect.
